RealOne Music is a subscriber service that delivers secure music files
and the Content Rights to
play them (service provided by MusicNet).
When you have a RealOne Music subscription you can preview/stream,
and
download/play this music. You will also receive Premium RealOne Player
features, plus access to RealOne Radio
stations. (For more information, select Help>About
RealOne Services from the RealOne Player menus.)
You can search for RealOne Music on the Search page, or in the RealOne
Music topic of the
Web page).
Step-by-Step: Open RealOne Music Topic Page
RealOne Music can be found in the RealOne Music topic page but it is
also available in the RealOne Player search functions (My
Library Search and Search For),
as well as in references within the Album
Info display (Discography and Related Artists). RealOne Music clips
are identified in these lists with the icon.
After browsing for music by genre or artist in the RealOne Music topic page, or after searching for music by keyword in the Search page, the matching titles are displayed. You can chose to play (stream) or download music from the list.
Select to play the music clip immediately. The music
file will not be downloaded to your computer. Instead, a clip is added
to your Now Playing list and the file is streamed to your computer. Each
time you play the clip it will cost one Streaming Credit.
Select to download a RealOne Music file. A RealOne Player
Downloads dialog will open and display the status of the download. Once
the download is compleat, your RealOne Player will request the Content
Rights for the file so you can play it, and will subtract one Download
Credit from your monthly total.
Click to open the Media Browser
and Select
(Web) from the Task bar. Click
(Home) to see your RealOne Music account status in the upper
right of the Home page if you are online and signed in.
Each RealOne Music clip consists of two parts. The first part is the file which is downloaded to your computer. The second is the Content Rights that you purchase for the clip. When you first download a RealOne Music file, you also pay for the rights to listen to it for 30 days. (The cost is one Download Credit.) After 30 days, you retain the media file on your computer, but you can not play it without renewing the Content Rights.
If you select the Keep Active option for a clip in the RealOne Music page of My Library, your Content Rights will be automatically renewed when necessary at the expense of one Download Credit.
If you have not selected the Keep Active option, you will be prompted to expend a credit and renew the clip.
The number of download and streaming credits you have each month will depend on your membership level.
