With the RealOne Player and a CD-R or CD-RW drive, you can create custom CDs containing audio tracks that can be played on standard CD players; or create custom data CDs with copies of media files from your music library.
When you create a custom CD, you are transferring audio media to a CD-R or CD-RW disk. Keep in mind that you can only transfer (burn) media files that are on your computer, whether you are creating an audio CD or a data CD. This means you can transfer files that you have downloaded from the Internet or saved to My Library, but you can not transfer media that is streamed to your computer.
Audio Mode creates an audio CD that can be played on standard CD players. Clips are added as audio tracks on the CD, (a maximum of 80 minutes on a CD-R disc) at the same recording quality as a standard audio CD.
Attention: The audio quality on your CD can only be as good as the original media source files. Low bit-rate source files have less audio data than CD quality source files. When creating an audio CD, the RealOne Player will have to approximate any missing audio data.
Note: CD-R audio disks can be played on any standard CD player, but not all CD players can play CD-RW audio disks. Check your equipment specifications for compatibility.
Data Mode saves audio files in a digital format (either RealAudio or MP3 ) to a CD-R or CD-RW disk. This disk can be read by standard computer CD-ROM drives and by audio CD players that are equipped to read data CDs. (Check your CD player to see if it supports either MP3 or RealAudio media types if you intend the CD you create to be played and not just used as storage.)
Note: By default, digital Media files are copied to a custom data CD in the same format and quality as they exist on your local drive. You have the option to save all files in a common format (RealAudio or MP3). In this case RealOne Player will automatically convert the files as needed to the format you have selected. (See CD-R Recording Configuration for details.)
