Install a Portable Device

First follow your manufacturer's instructions to connect your Portable Music Player or Storage Device to your computer, then use the instructions below to install your device for use with the RealOne Player.

Note:

RealOne Player may need to download components from RealNetworks in order to install your device. It is best to connect to the Internet before beginning this process.

Step-by-Step:

Install a Portable Device

  1. Open the Media Browser to the Devices page. If necessary, click to return to the list of devices.

  2. Double-click Add/Remove Devices. Preferences opens to the Devices section.

  3. Click Add to open the Add Devices / Storage dialog.

  4. If necessary, click Update List for the latest list of supported devices.

  5. Select your device or plug-in from the list.

  6. Click OK to complete installation and exit Preferences.

Remove or Configure a Portable Device

  1. Open the Media Browser to Devices page. If necessary, click to return to the list of devices.

  2. Double-click Add/Remove Devices. Preferences opens to the Devices section.

  3. Select the device or plug-in you want to Configure or Remove from the list.

  4. Click Remove or Configure to open the desired dialog.

  5. Follow instructions in the dialog boxes.
