Portable music players store and play digital music files in a variety of media formats (including MP3 and RealAudio ) and qualities (bit-rates). These devices are usually solid state (have no moving parts), very small, and are capable of reproducing music at near-CD quality. The music files that are stored on these players can be quickly deleted and new ones transferred to them in just minutes. Used with the RealOne Player, portable music players allow you to play back your music anytime you want.
Each portable music player has different features and storage capacity. When media clips are added to the player, the media file associated with the clip is converted to a compatible media type at a similar level of quality, and then transferred to the portable player.
Clips that do not have local media files available (such as links to streaming media) can not be transferred to a portable player.
