RealOne Player is able to play a variety of media types, both those that are on the Internet, and those stored as local files on your computer. (Local files are on your hard drive or a local network drive ). To make it easier to organize all your media, regardless of its format and location, RealOne Player remembers all these location details and lists them simply as Media Clips.
A Media Clip is similar to a shortcut or bookmark. It contains information about the media you have access to, such as title, artist, format, size, location, etc. When you store or move Media Clips, you aren't moving the file associated with the clip; all you move is the clip information. Likewise, when you delete a clip, or a Clip List, or a Playlist, all you are deleting is the clips, not the media files that the clips bookmark. (See Deleting Clips and Playlists for more information.)
Note: A Media Clip is not the same thing as a CD Track. A CD Track is the audio media on a CD.
