Digital encoding and compression formats for audio files. (For example: MP3, RM, WAV.)

1. Click to open the Media Browser.

2. Click to open the Devices page.

3. Select your device from the list, and double-click to open it.

4. Click Configure on the Command bar. The Configure dialog appears. Each Portable Device has its own custom dialog. For example, some common options might be:

1. When to convert: This option may be helpful if the media file type on your computer differs from that required by portable player.

2. Quality (bit-rate):  If files are converted before they are transferred, it will be at this quality. The higher the bit-rate, the higher the quality and the larger the files.
   
   Note: If the portable device is not connected to your system, the configuration feature will not be available.)

5. Click OK to accept the changes and close the Configuration dialog.
