While attempting to play a file you receive the message: Unable to render video....decompressor not found.
This error appears if the codec for that file type, the interpreter that turns the computer code into sound and video, is not installed on your computer. Codecs are often installed as separate components, or plug-ins, to software because they "plug-in" to other software programs to accomplish specific things, such as playing back a clip.
RealONE Player comes with the codecs needed to play its standard file types, and several more available for automatic download as needed through AutoUpdate. If a particular codec is not available via RealNetworks, you may need to contact the content provider directly to obtain the appropriate plug-in for your RealOne Player.
