Preferences: Playback Settings

These settings determine how streamed playback (over the Internet) is handled by RealOne Player.

	Field	Description
	Buffered Play	(Default is entire clip) Determines how much of a clip the RealOne Player should attempt to buffer before beginning to play. Note: Buffered play is always enabled. This option only sets the size of the buffer. When PerfectPlay is on: Select a set number of seconds to buffer every clip or select to buffer the entire clip every time. (See Menu>Play>PerfectPlay to turn PerfectPlay on or off.)
	Instant Playback	(Default is off) Sometimes clips are set up to only be downloaded or are running from a Web Server rather than a RealServer. The RealOne Player can play these clips rather than downloading them. Select enable to use this feature. Note: This ability only works with Internet Explorer v3.0 or later. When enabled, RealOne Player will attempt to play a file as it receives it from the web, instead of downloading the file to a local disk drive.
