Convert Media allows you to change the format and quality level of the media files associated with your media clips. You can convert audio file from any supported format (except secure formats such as .rmx) to MP3, RealAudio, and Wave formats.
Use the Convert Media feature if you want to:
Reduce the amount of disk space that your audio files use

Convert Media is an advanced feature and should be used with care. Some Convert Media actions will result in the loss of data (quality) and/or the deletion of files. |
Click
to open the Media Browser.
Click
to open the My Library page.
Select the clip(s) you wish to change.
From the Options menu at the top of the My Library page, select Convert Media Format... (The Convert Clips info box appears the first time you use this feature. If you want to continue to see the info box each time you convert media, clear the check box.) Click Continue to open the Convert Media Format dialog.
Under New Clip, change the clip name, format and/or quality level as desired. (When multiple clips are selected, clip title cannot be changed.)
Choose Additional Options (such as Clip Info, Erase the current clip, or Create a new playlist) if desired.
Click OK to convert your clips.

Video files can only be converted into audio format files. The video content will not be copied. |
