CD Info retrieves, stores and displays information about your CDs.
Your CD contains only the digital information you need to listen to the music; just track number and track length. It does not include the CD title, the name of the artist, the musical genre, track titles, or other information about the CD.
RealOne Player automatically retrieves this information from a music information database on the World Wide Web when you are connected to the Internet while you play a CD. If you're not connected to the Internet, your RealOne Player stores a CD Info request for each CD that you save to My Library, and retrieves the information the next time you log on.
In addition, RealOne Player will create and store CD info for any custom CDs your create, and display the information whenever you play the custom CD with your RealOne Player.
Open the Tools>Preferences>CD menu.
Select Additional CD Options.
Check/Uncheck the Get CD Info Online selection box.
Insert a CD into your CD-ROM drive.
Select
to open the CD page.
Select Get CD Info from the Command bar on the CD page.
Matching
Your CD
Sometimes the CD Info search does not find an exact match for your
CD. In this event, you'll see a window asking you to choose between
one or more near-matches. Click the CD title that matches your CD,
then click OK.
Automatic
CD Info Caching
If you have previously received CD Info for a CD, or manually entered
the CD Info, RealOne Player will remember the information in a
database on your computer. If you later view the same CD with the
RealOne Player, it will display the CD info, even if your are working
offline. If you have played or recorded a CD in the past, and have
not requested CD Info, RealOne Player will keep track of this and
prompt you to get the CD Info.
