Crossfade

To open the Crossfade dialog, select Crossfade from the Tools menu.
(This is a RealOne premium feature.)

The Crossfade feature lets you fade one audio clip into the next when playing a series of clips. When turned on, the volume of each audio clip will start to fade out as it nears its end, and the volume of the next clip will fade in as it starts. The two clips can also overlap so that the next clip will be fading in even as the previous clip is fading out.

The color bar at the top of the Crossfade window represents the Crossfade ratio:

Use the following buttons and sliders to customize the Crossfade function:

On/Off

Turns the Crossfade function on or off. (The indicator is green when the Crossfade function is turned on.)

Reset

Returns all Crossfade setting to the default value (zero seconds).

Overlap

Drag the slider to set the number of seconds both clips will overlap. (Overlap time is independent of Fade In or Fade Out times.)

Note:

These settings do not take into consideration any dead time (zero or low level audio) at the beginning or end of the two adjacent clips.

Fade In

Drag the slider to set the number of seconds that the next clip will Fade In.

Fade Out

Drag the slider to set the number of seconds that the previous clip will Fade Out.
