Preferences: General

General preferences determine RealOne Player's basic reactions while being used; such as resizing, default saving locations, and how your Now Playing list works.

RealOne Player Options

On startup display (Default is Web) Selects a specific page to be displayed at startup (Web, My Library, etc.), remembers your last view just before you closed RealOne Player the most recent time or opens your Player without opening the Media Browser.

Automatically resize (Default is On) Check box to enable; RealOne Player will automatically resize the Video Screen to fit the size of the video content.

Note: If you close the Presentation Area when this feature is disabled, it will remain closed until you manually resize it.

File Locations

When saving or downloading media, RealOne Player automatically places files according to the following two settings. The default location for both is C:\My Music\.

Recorded Music Files

Enter or select from Browse... where to save recorded audio files (CDs, Mic/Line-in, or Converted files).

Default Download

Enter or select from Browse... where to save downloaded (from the Internet) media files.

Now Playing

Select the behavior of the Now Playing List when a new clip is selected to play.

Clear: Clears current Now Playing list, then add the new clip at the top of the list.

Warn: If the Clear option is selected, displays a warning whenever the Now Playing list is about to be replaced.

Add: Adds clips to list until the selected number of clips are displayed. Afterwards, adds the new clips and removes the oldest clips from the list. (If enabled, enter a maximum list size.)

History

 

Clear History: Click to remove history data for the Address bar and File menu.

Enable a history... (Default is On) When enabled, a list of the most recently played clips is available in the Address bar and is displayed in the File menu.
