Searching My Library

You will quickly acquire a large library of clips in RealOne Player. My Library Search helps you quickly find what you are looking for.

This function will only search for clips that are already in My Library. To Search for media on the Internet please use the broader Search from the Task bar .

Opening Search Library

Select Search Library in the Organizer, the Navigation menus, or enter a keyword into the  Search Library: box and click to start a quick search.

Starting an Advanced Search

Click to the right of the Search Library: box to display the advanced search fields. Enter information into the following areas and click to start a search:

DESCRIPTION

Search Library:

Enter keyword(s) to search for. Search will look for media clips with Clip Info (Artist, Album, Clip Name, etc.) that match these words. Separate words with spaces only, no commas. Keywords can be combined with modifiers as shown below:
 

quotation marks

Searches for an exact phrase match to keywords, including spaces and punctuation. Example: "match this exact phrase"

+ (plus)

Keyword or exact phrase must appear in Clip Info.

- (minus)

Excludes clips that have  the keyword or exact phrase in Clip Info.

: (colon)

Specify specific column in clip list to make match.  (for example, format:MP3 matches MP3 formatted clips)

Note: Searches do not check numeric-only data in the Clip Info (track number, length, etc.).

Search Method:

Select a method of matching keyword(s) to Clip Info.

Exact

Searches for an exact phrase match to keywords, including spaces and punctuation. (Quotation marks not needed.)

All

Look for matches containing all the keywords and exact phrases.

Any

Looks for matches with any keyword or exact phrase.

Contains

Same as All but matches do not have to be whole words. For example, the keyword "ation" will match clips with Temptation, Inspiration, or Nation in the Clip Info. (Quotation marks not needed.)

Search all Clip Info...

Check to enable. Includes all text information in the Clip Info database when searching for matches.

Starts the search. Clips that match the search will be listed in the Browser Display Area.

Note: Once the results of a search have been displayed as a list of clips, they can be sorted by clicking on any of the column headers in the Browser Display Area.
