Live Stations Tab

Because RealNetworks provides hundreds of Live Stations, they are sorted so you can find what you want more easily. By default, Live Stations are organized by category of music (e.g., Jazz, Pop, etc.). However you can resort the tab easily by following the instructions below.

To Play a Live Station:

  1. Double-click a folder to show the Live Stations available.

  2. Double-click the Live Station you want to play.

To Sort your Live Stations:

  1. Click .

  2. Select Sort Stations then the Sort order you wish to use.

  3. The tab will reorder according to your selection.
Note: Different sort orders may be available at different times, they are updated when you update your Live Stations list. See the Options menu below for some examples.

To Update your Live Stations:

  1. Click .

  2. Select Update Stations List.



Note:Options menu items are different for each tab.

Expand/Collapse folder
Expands or Collapses selected folder. This works the same as double-clicking the folder.

Contacts RealNetworks to update your Live Stations list with the currently available Stations.

Scan Stations in ‘folder
RealPlayer will play a portion of each Live Station in the category selected.

Rearranges the entire Live Stations tab to reflect the option you select. Different sort orders may be available at different times—they are updated when you update your Live Stations. Some examples of how these sort orders will affect your Live Stations list appear below:


Genre: Sorts Live Stations by category of music (e.g., Jazz)


Country/Genre: Sorts Live Stations first by each Station's country of origin and then by category of music.


Language/Genre: Sorts Live Stations first by the main language in which they broadcast and then by category of music.


Genre/Country: Sorts Live Stations first by category of music then each Station’s country of origin.

Find...
Searches the Live Stations tab for the information you enter. You can select to search just through the station titles or through all the properties of the station.
Stations register several properties with the Player: Genre (or category) of music, Language of broadcast, Country the station is based out of, and Bitrate they broadcast in over the Internet.

Properties
List the properties of the selected folder or station.
